On the BBC television show Record Breakers, hosted by Roy Castle, Wayne beat Nijinksy's world record of an entrechat-dix with an entrechat-douze.
In 1988 Wayne Sleep completed 158 Grand Jetés in two minutes, across the wooden oier at Gateshead.
Both these world records remain unbroken to this day.
